    Harkness Memorial Park Wedding Photos

A recent wedding from one of my favorite spots: Eolia mansion at Hartford memorial state park in Waterford Connecticut. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend it. It was built in 1906, and is not only one of the great wedding spots, but is also my number one choice of where to would live if I ever become a zillionaire. The house is just sort of got that amazing old world construction, and is about 100 feet from the Long Island Sound. In short, it is simply incredible. Add into the mix amazing wedding, and a wonderful (not to mention photogenic!) couple and you a recipe for a wedding photographer’s dream wedding come to life. A quick warning, I probably posted too many pictures, but I couldn’t help myself…

    Kent Connecticut Wedding Photos

Here is another wedding that I have been wanting to make a blog post about for a while, but am only just getting around to it. This wedding was special: The bride and groom rented an entire Summer camp out (which they temporarily renamed “Camp Sycamore”) for a weekend, and turned the wedding into a weekend long party. The guests all stayed in the camp cabins and everyone spent the weekend swimming, canoeing, playing kickball, flying kits, and just about every other Summer camp activity that can be imagined. In a word, it was amazing, and everyone had a fantastic time.

Photographing the wedding was also a ton of fun and if I had my way this blog post would run about 150 pictures long (so many great pictures!) but I’ve been trying to keep blog entries to a reasonable length, so I just focused on the images from the wedding day itself. I hope you like them!

  • Viv and Ryan– Wedding at the Salt Lick; Driftwood (outside of Austin), Texas

Wedding Photography from the Salt Lick in Austin, Texas

The Salt Lick is a legendary BBQ restaurant outside of Austin, in a little town called Driftwood. Getting to shoot Ryan and Viv’s wedding there was basically a dream come true for me, because as a rule I always go to the Salt Lick at least once every time I am in Austin, and on this occasion, I got to spend an entire day there (don’t ask me how food I ate…)
The only downside was forcing myself not to eat all of the cobbler (the food was served “family style”), which I think is probably my favorite desert in the world.
